For extra lengthy boards, it's a good idea to use in feed rollers and an out feed table to keep the board stable. For cutting exceedingly thin pieces, it's a right idea to cut them on the outer "waste" side of the saw, away from the fence, using the feather-board to measure the cut. This is because it can be hazardous to pinch very narrow slice between blade and fence.

Opening a pair of resewn pieces for the first time is a favorite part of re sawing. It also turns a cramped board into a panel that’s twice as wide. Opening the pieces like a book—called book-matching—creates a mirror image. And that’s just the start: By simply rearranging the two pieces, you can create other patterns that are completely different but just as spectacular.
